Sahil Kültür Merkezi, Samsun
A cultural center combining a 1,200-seat hall, exhibition and workshops with the waterfront.
The Coastal Cultural Center brings a 1,200-seat concert hall, a 400-seat theater, exhibition spaces and art workshops under a public roof on the Black Sea coast. The building's roof becomes an observation terrace open to citizens as an extension of the seafront promenade.
Design approach
A stainless steel and timber composite facade was chosen for salty air and humidity. Acoustic design of the halls is being carried out with an international acoustic consultant. The building will be completed at the end of 2026.
