2019 – National Architectural Project Competition – First Prize: Kent Kütüphanesi, Eskişehir
The design for the Eskişehir City Library won first prize in a national competition with 63 entries. The winning project stood out with its concept of nine small houses conceived as a reading garden.
“Dividing the library into small volumes that are part of the city instead of a single block is a public-minded act of courage.”
Kent Kütüphanesi, Eskişehir: An 11,800 m² city library on the riverbank conceived as a reading garden.
The award is not only an achievement for the office; it recognizes the shared effort of the client, local masters, engineers and the office team. All visuals and technical information for the project can be found in the Projects section.
National architectural project competitions opened for public buildings, with anonymous evaluation of entries. The first-prize project is recommended to the client for implementation.
